Default HID to LED conversion headlights.

We have a 2015 GS350 that we are working on. from my understanding they come with HID's but since one of the bulbs burnt, i wanted to update them to LED's. has anyone done it, if so any recommendations?

If you don't have the f-sport the triple beam led headlights is plug and play, but you also have to swap out the headlight swivel ECU located in the driver foot well area. Also you need to install an AFS off switch that plugs under the steering column, next to a couple other switches.

Here is the part number for the correct headlight swivel ecu for the led headlight:
89940-30270
INSTRUMENT PANEL, HEADLAMP SWIVEL, W/ ADAPTIVE, W/ LED H'LAMPS

I did this mod last year:

... I just realized your talking about changing the bulb to led not the whole headlight assembly.

Why would you want a downgrade in performance? Unless you mean you want to switch out the entire assembly as peasodos mentioned.

I always thought LED's would be better than HID's as of lasting longer and look brighter?

LED bulbs will produce a lot of light, but they will not throw it far. The projector lease in our cars is designed for an HID bulb and will work great with it. LEDs will just throw light blinding other drivers and reducing your own visibility due to poor focus.

Keep the HIDs IMO

Also, the HID projectors are meant to focus light assuming the source of light comes from a specific location on the bulb. The LEDs won't be producing light in the same location, so the beam of light won't be as focused, and the cutoffs will be more undefined, thus blinding other drivers as mrplesh mentioned.
