Default Clear Coat

Do you guys who have front lip spoilers get them clear coated? My car is black, lip spoiler is about 3 years old now and has sooooo many chips. What parts of your car do you like to clear coat?

If you get another one rough it up and coat with 2k clear otherwise unpainted is a better option.

I have a replica lip. eBay special. Unpainted. If it gets chipped up scarred or whatever’s - I’ll just toss it and buy another. 😀

im going to have this one re-painted and then clear coat it. It’s an authentic AIMGAIN lip so it wasn’t cheap

I would get PPF professionally installed on it once the paint cures, otherwise it's going to chip again. It's so close to the road, it's going to take a beating, every time you drive.

So you think I need to go with a PPF rather than have a clear coating put on it?

You have to repaint it anyways. might as well put a layer of PPF for added protection.

I know 2k clear is very durable hard clear coat since it's a 2 part clear.
