Default First Major Snowfall

First major snowfall for Toronto and I must say this car is impressive (15 GS350-Fsport). Last year i had my snow tires on early so it was no issue but this year I didn't have a chance to put them on yet. I'm running the Continental A/S Pure Contact LS tires and I must say they performed phenomenally with the snow mode on. Everyone else was slipping and sliding and I had no issues.

Loving this car more and more just felt the need to rant

We had our first major snowfall on Halloween this year in Chicago. The GS performs great in the snow as long as the snow isn't too high.

Snowfall here is generally rare and/or short lived when it does happen, so I don't ever run winter tires. Yet despite the all-seasons, the car tackles snow with absolute ease. I love the AWD system.

Nice.

FYI snow mode just dulls the throttle, and starts you off in 2nd gear rather than 1st.

The car feels so balanced in 6-12" of snow with good snow tires. just a blast to tear around on fresh powder.

I'm on Toyo Garit KX. getting the car to slide is quite hard

My 3rd gen was an absolute beast in the snow (with snow tires). This morning was my first snow in the Rav4 and makes me miss my 3rd gen! I need to get some snowies on the beater and it should do better, but I don't see it being as good.

I've used it, it's pointless, like eco mode. Just changes the throttle response, something you can do yourself.
