Hey everyone, I guess it's now my time to say my farewells......
I have been with Lexus for the last 15 years. I have owned 2001 GS300, 2008 GS350 and I have driven my current 2013 GS for almost 7 years. I really wanted to stay with this brand, but I got tired of waiting for Lexus to release something groundbreaking, something fresh.
I did consider the GS-F, but paying so much money for basically the same car that I already had, did not make much sense. So, I have been going back and forth, between the Audi and BMW. It was not easy, but at the end, I have leased the BMW 540i, with twin turbo V6. I cannot say much about this car just yet. It is still very new to me, but so far I like it a lot. The tech in this car is years away. Lexus is seriously lacking in this department.
In any case, I will be stopping by and hopefully someday I will get behind another Lexus.
Oh, and if you see my car in your city, say hi to her for me
nope, I did not have the time to take anything off.

btw is that a rep aimgain front lip or authentic?
Thanks! Yeah, I was surprised to learn that 540 has the same 0-60 time as the GS-F. That lip was authentic. I wish I had enough time to take all the parts off though.
It makes a lot of sense that GS owners would eventually end up going BMW/MB/Audi as they have the bigger portfolio's of performance sedans. Fellow member dallasdave recently moved on to an Audi S8 Plus. Be safe and enjoy the new BMW!
Congrats! I looked very seriously at the 540i earlier this year when I was replacing my 15 GS. Very fun cars. BMW offers incredible leases on them, making them very tempting. It's a lot of car for the money.

Her last pictures,
Sad to see you go, I definitely understand your point. Guessing Lexus is still trying but it will take them time to come out with something groundbreaking. Well hopefully your find your way back to Lexus at some point. Please post the pics as soon as you get it.

Congrats on the BMW. Love both the GS and the 5 series over the years.
I gotta warn you though although a really fun car the 2019 540 has some serious drivability issues that I found.
Previously I had my gs400 for 17 years, had a 535i 2017 F10 for three years (great car!)
Just about rapped up about 3000 miles on the 540i. The car is great and a lot of fun to throw around. here are my peeves.
Apple play is like a teenager, it works only when it wants and you might have to pair, unpair re-pair it once or twice a day or once a week,
The advantage is you get waze, other than that the F10 Computer was much more programmable and reliable. DVD in Motion is no longer an option.
The Instrument panel now on the 2019 has a White Box with the speed limit. This is also on the Heads UP display. There is no way to turn this off, basically looks like white bird poop on your windshield.
The most annoying experience is driver intervention. No doubt BMW wants you to be safe but this thing is a Nanny mobile not a ultimate driving machine.
Anything over 40MPH You have all these sensors beeping at you that you are drifting out of your lane and taking the turn to fast and just all these different color lights start to pop out on the dash like your in a f16 that just been hit by enemy fire.
None of this was in the 2017 535i, This is all new for this body.
The good news here is that you have sports mode and 2 stage DTC.
You only need to hit those two buttons to make the car drivable again.
Just wanted to share my experience with my 540i so far, stocking these boards, maybe by a Lexus again soon.
I moved away from Lexus for something more updated but came right back for the boring reliability. Ha. While Lexus lacks in technology, they stick with what works. I'd rather have a nice car that starts every day than something fun and exciting that is in the shop.
But to each their own. I hope you will enjoy your new car!
Have a 2013 535i and it has much better tech than a 2019 GS LOL. But, the car sees the shop more than it's driven, so my future condolences to you if you buy it at the end of the lease.

My 2016 535i was super reliable but not really a test for a car with 40,000 on the Odometer.
My friends 2013 535i was a family car wife driver and towards 80K the problems started and did not end, we are talking 20K+ in extended warranty repairs mainly on the Engine, leaking turbos, seals, etc, water pump, readiotors,
