You sure the reservoir has fluid in it?

I was at the dealership for an oil change a few days ago. They said they filled it up. I didn't have a light on the dash and I did stick my head under the hood and could see fluid in the reservoir. It wasn't full to the top but looking down the tube I could see fluid.

When you pull the lever, can you hear the pump whirring?

yeah, check under the car after you have tried to use it. If there's a bunch of fluid under the car, the hose has come loose.
