Default Headlamp Sprayer

I have a 2013 GS & the cover for the right headlamp sprayer is missing (I believe due to an automatic car wash). I visited a Lexus dealership and bought the cover for it but there is no way to attach it. When I asked a service tech, he explained that I would need to buy another headlamp actuator (#85207). The part is quite costly but he also stated to get an OEM replacement if possible. All of this to just attach a cover??!! Does anyone know if this is the only route to take or there an alternative??

I don't have direct experience but lots of folks on the forum have done bumper conversions and can probably speak to the headlamp washer cover.

The fact that they sold you a cover means that there should be a way to install this...if you're not seeing a way to install it, i'm thinking there's a clip or connector on the upper portion of the actuator that was broken/snapped off as a result of the car wash...

Use a plastic trim tool to lift it up(or have someone grab it while it's active) and pull it to the extended position. It's just clipped on.

Ok.... Thanks for the info... I found out there is a bolt & nut spring that connects the cover to the sprayer. However, the dealership is trying to convince me, if the cover came off the sprayer piece, to attach it to, is broken as well; meaning I need to get a new sprayer. Not really buying it as of now... I did order the bolt & nut spring, so I will give it a shot. Thank again
