While on a phone call with the Navigation working the person on the other end of a phone call hears all the instructions and they occur. Is this as simple as a setting change? Is this supposed to happen?

I agree it’s annoying. I just have the voice down pretty low (like 2) and the phone call interference is minimal.

 

I too was surprised as on my Benz when making or receiving a phone call it disabled the navigation voice as wll as the radio

 

Tap into the map menu (varies by model) and "Pause Guidance"
When you need it back tap back and in the same spot will be "Resume Guidance"

Much quicker than opening up Set Up/Voice/#1 (or Off) and back up later...

It would be MUCH better if it paused during calls...
"no honey, the nav didn't say turn left onto Hooker Lane"

 

Exactly, my Jeep Wrangler continues with directions but the person on the other end doesn't hear the Nav.
