The previous updates for the GS 350 2014/2015 are no longer available at the download site https://securedp.lexus.com/download-...division=lexus I did manage to download the file a couple of weeks ago before it was removed. Hopefully this means a new updates is coming out soon....

 

They just recently made an update available for the 2016 GS I usually check often, but what was strange is the update was released 11/16 and they just make it available? It's supposed to correct rebooting the issue on the 2016 GS NAV, I've never had those issue but I did install the update.

 

What are these updates for? I thought, for some reason, that the car somehow updated its multimedia system on its own. For example, I believe it made an update to the UI for ENFORM APP and asked me to DL it when I turned on the car. Is this not accurate?

 

The Lexus Enform App Suite does updates through your phone, initial one is pretty large and subsequent
ones are roughly annually and take just a minute. Triggers a message on screen when your phone pairs
and LEAS is running on your phone.

The Multimedia Updates address things like voice commands and Bluetooth generations, they are
NOT Navigation updates. As the directions on www.lexusdrivers.com describe, they download from
the internet and are snail-updated with a flashdrive.

Navigation updates pre-2010 were on DVD's and easy to DIY. System response was a bit slow however.
Nav updates 2010 through 2013/2017 (varied by model) are on a HDD. Gotta get from Lexus and is
downloaded using the shop TechTool. Licensing costs and labor...
Navigation updates now are on a mini-SD chip. Should be easy (but likely not cheap) to update

Yes, I will send you an email with the files I downloaded. They were the download options for a 2015 with Navigation and when I ran through the software upgrade procedure it recognized the file as an upgrade. I would expect that if it was incompatible with a system (different year, wrong system) that it would not have given me the upgrade option.

Some screens with clock information show 12:00 as 0:00

Navigation system becomes frozen/has no response or slow response
Missing or incorrect HD Traffic incidents and/or flow data shown on the screen
Resetting of the navigation system
iPod Error is displayed with Apple device connected to the USB port
Song Title is not updated when using Siri
Display is blank after a Bluetooth™ Audio device is connected
No audio sound after completing a phone call
Navigation system resets when playing an "Audio Book" on a CD
Unable to load multiple destinations when using Destination Assist feature

I have a 2016 RX350 and tried to download the update. My current version is A11A5100 so the update (which is less than A1##5570) should be installed. However, when I select "Download" nothing happens. Can you let me know how you got it to download? I am having a recent issue with my iPod (connected via USB) not recognized unless I disconnect and re-connect. Anyone else having this issue? HELP PLEASE!

Guys, I have a 2015 GS350. I did some digging around and I figured it out. Long story short, I figured out the file name for my specific update file and changed the link with that name in it, and voila....it downloaded directly from their website. Just formatted an 8gb USB stick to fat32, placed the file on the root directory. Opened software update and it prompted right away that a new version is available and to update.

New Version:
Navigation: V15A8910
Operating System: 16.8700

This is what I believe is the latest, and works only with 2014-2015 GS with nav, as well as 2014-2015 LS with nav.
