Hi All! Anyone have experience with taking the Lexus over to Toyota for service? I'm due for a oil change and both my headlights randomly flicker. The closest Lexus Dealership to me is about 55 miles away. Would Toyota be recommended to perform oil changes and look into the headlight concern? The vehicle still has bumper to bumper warranty coverage.

I had an ‘06 IS350 for almost 200k miles and other than warranty work, recalls and car-specific matters I always went to the Toyota dealer. I would bring the filters and oil (Mobil fully synthetic was inexpensive at Walmart) and they charged me $18 for their time. Toyota dealer also replaced spark plugs, aligned wheels, and several other maintenance items. That was when I was still in Indianapolis. Haven’t tried the Toyota dealer since I’ve had the GS now that we’re in NC but can’t imagine any issues here given the Lexus is still a Toyota at heart.
It may come down to whether there is a Lexus dealer in your area or if the company that owns the dealership owns a Lexus dealer as well, which is the case for me, and as a result the Toyota dealer will not touch Lexus and will instead refer you to the Lexus dealer
