When I had my 2013, I was told at my 30K miles service that I needed new pads (red zone). Although, I had the pads replaced under TSB for squeaking around 10K miles...so I guess they lasted around 20K miles. The dealer wanted $416+tax...so I got the part number, purchased them online, and had a local shop change them for much less. The 2015 didn't require new pads at 20K miles, so I must've driven less aggressively. I think it was in the yellow zone though.
Depends on your drive style. I had RX and replace pads about 50K miles, but I'm sure many owners replace more quick. Wich the brand of pads do you choose?
This is what mine looked like after 29k miles. I replaced them with stoptech pads and kept the original rotors on. Dealership wanted to do my pads and rotors to a sum of $650..... I checked the rotors and they were perfectly fine, about .5mm at the lip if even that lol.
It is so easy to do yourself... Its about 5 minutes longer than doing a flat tire change on the side of the road. All i needed was a long screwdriver and a hammer.
2013 non f-sport - i replaced my front pads at 80,000km (50,000 miles) they were just starting to touch the wear indicator. They wore perfectly evenly. Rotors were still in good shape. Pads took me 30 minutes to change both sides.
Rear pads and rotors i replaced at 75,000km (46,000 miles) they had uneven wear and the inside surface of the rotors was completely rusted out (outsides looked fine!). Took me about an hour or 2 for all of this work.

Just curious. Do the OEM pads produce a lot of dust? I get easily over 50K on my other cars. Thanks.
Yes it does produce a lot of dust compared to the ceramics some folks have been using here with great results. I like low dust but don't wanna compromise the breaking power and went with the oems.

I know my fronts are probably still fine because they got replaced with the TSB (pads and rotors), but I'm pretty sure the rears haven't been touched. I don't hear squeaking just yet, but I'm pretty sure they're due soon.
Might be a good time for me to check mine but I still have a lot of pad left and I have the brake pads from when I purchased the car new, and I currently have around 34K on the odometer. I would say I drive pretty aggressive but I don't brake a lot

i think the rear brakes should last really long since the only time they kick in is when you reverse or hard brake. It has only 1 piston. waiting for others to confirm the fact.
On my last car (honda accord coupe) rear brakes last 90k miles. On another hand went through 4 sets pads and 1 set rotors in the front. Considering only 2 piston vs 4 piston on the gs Fsport i think 10-15k mile per pads set is reasonable.
Lucky lexus doesn't require to change rotors everytime like bmw.
