Default Is there something wrong with these brakes

This is a photo of the rear brakes on an F Sport I am interested in.

Is there something wrong here? I've never seen that color before. Maybe I've just never noticed?

Rotors and brake pads suck on these cars. My rotors were so rusted after 40k that they were pushing on the backing plate and making a god awful grinding noise when turning. Just went ahead and replaced them with aftermarket slotted ones.

Rotors rust when cars sit around undriven(use that to your advantage when negotiating). Take it out for a test drive, do a few normal stops and it should be cleaned up.

That is merely a thin layer of rust (either from the car being washed of from high humidity), which will go away quickly after the car is driven a few miles and the brakes are used. It's nothing to be concerned about...

BMW rotors will rust-up literally before your eyes when washing the car. That is why many BMW owners will drive the car a few hundred feet (and apply the brakes multiple times) before they dry the wheels so they don't get any rust debris on the clean wheels.

Rear brakes are the same size on AWD and RWD (12.2 inches).
