I was in the process of getting tanabe lowering springs install when my mechanic notice that my two front shocks were leaking so he order two front oem shocks from the dealer and they cost me $660.00 for the front two.
They are wanting 980 dollars to replace 1 front strut. Lexus of Englewood has them for 238 each plus shipping. It's less than 2 hours of work at 125 an hour. That comes out to 488. Even if I had to pay full price for the part (335), the total comes out to 585. Their alignment cost 200. So if you throw in the alignment, it still no where close to 980.
I asked for an itemized invoice but they did not want to provide it because they were too busy. I am savy enough to do it myself but I was wanting to get this done under warranty. Will release all details later.
