Here's an odd thing that happened to me today - I drove to my kid's school to drop them off and had turned off my 2015 GS with no ML and not an F sport. When I got back in to start it, my navigation screen went through its normal startup screen (Lexus picture and then the 'warning' message) and then went blank except in the area where the "Sport" or "Eco" mode are shown.
The only thing showing now is the "Radio Off" area unless I change transmission mode which shows that. The map area shows nothing and no matter what button I push (radio on/off, map, menu, etc.) nothing shows up and there is no sound from the radio.
I've tried restarting my car several different times and it still goes through the startup so I know the screen is okay, but something isn't allowing the map or other features to show.
Any ideas? I have an appt tomorrow with the dealer.
I looked on the other forums and there was a Lexus tech advisor who said to disconnect your negative battery terminal for 10 minutes then reconnect it and restart the car.
Works now. It does go through a weird 'reboot' on the screen (takes about 5 seconds for it to come up) and you must leave the car running while it reboots. Hopefully, this is just a one time issue or it goes to the dealer.
I just called the Lexus dealership and they said their satellite is down right now and the nav, blue tooth, cd, radio, sat radio will be down until the satellite comes back up.
Anyone know if the radio or cd or blue tooth can be still used even if the nav isn't working? I would think those features shouldn't be dependant on the satellite service being up or down. But what do I know
So ur media (Bluetooth and CD) screen doesn't come up? What's that got to do with the satellite being down? weird.
My radio screen came up like always this morning and this afternoon when I went out to eat. I didn't even know there is a problem.
But good thing it's not a hardware screen problem cause that thing alone costs $10K to replace.
Yeah nothing works media wise in the car. I was listening to Steven A rant about the Showtime Lakers vs the current Warriors on XM Radio when I parked the car and got coffee. Came back and started the car up, and the screen started flashing purple and Steven A was coming and going and finally stopped. Still hasn't come back up yet
