Default Maintenance soon light

Tried to do some searching, but didn't find the answer that I was looking for. What exactly does the light mean? Is it just a reminder or is it something more? Will it spit out a code if I plug in an ODB II scanner?

Thanks!

Just a reminder, wait until it turns solid yellow and reset it urself, good for another 5K miles. This is assuming u don't need the 10K mile oil change.

Make sure the odometer is showing Trip A, not ODO, then turn the ignition off (engine start button).

Push and hold the reset ODO button then turn ignition to ON (engine start button x2), do not start the car, so foot off the brakes.

Number of mileage will turn into slashes which will extinguish themselves one after the other.

When number of miles comes back, it is done.

Ah, thank you. Yeah I just changed the oil 2 weeks ago.
