Perfect car?
Being an enthusiast, I'm never 100% happy with the car I have. I always find something to dislike. My friends and I like to play this game where we put together an imaginary Frankenstein car, from whatever different cars in the same class have best to offer.
My Frankenstein would look something like this:
Exterior design: Audi A6
Interior design: BMW 535i
Interior fit & finish: Lexus GS
Engine: BMW 535i
Tranny: BMW 535i
User interface: BMW 535i
Reliability: Lexus GS
Bang for your buck: Lexus GS
General refinement: Lexus GS
General dynamics: Lexus GS
I'm curious of your opinion.

This car, with carbon fiber trim and more leather inside, and at least 50 more hp (and equal torque/hp numbers) would be just about perfect for me. Unfortunately, it's GS F territory and out of my league.
With lots of restrictions to not have to cover anything. It's practically useless. I had a 2013 Kia Optima SX turbo that I traded in for my second Lexus (GS) and the 10 year 100k mile warranty was gimick to get ppl to buy there cars. Open up the warranty manual and you'll see. Other manufacture warranties are better and cover more items under 36k miles then there's.

I think that if GS could just hit two more of your points (Engine/Tranny or Exterior & Engine) it would be the "perfect car" winner in your scenario. We all seem to be longing for a GS that sits both power wise and price wise between the GS350's and the GS-F...
I could def. forsee something like the 5th generation GS with a similar engine revamp like the IS line saw recently with the IS250 replaced by the IS200t; introduction of the new IS300 V6 option with more power than the turbo; and the IS350 option with the most power).
Be interesting to see if Lexus answers the call in the next generation with a GS200t with more power (say 260hp); a GS300 (say with 300hp) and a GS350 (with 375+hp).
