Default 2016 GS Refresh Wheel Options

Lots of the sites around the web have listed some new wheel designs for the refreshed '16 GS. I wanted to compile a few images and find out from members if they had any more definitive answers and any information about the new wheel options. I think the '16 wheel options are pretty good when compared to the '13-15' wheel choices.

Here's what I've gathered from the recent official Lexus 2016 GS press release with the pdf showing a 17" wheel, two 18" wheel choices, a 19" wheel (and the GS F is a different beast with its own 19" wheel):

17X7.5" Nine Spoke wheels to come standard on the GS200t (New):
??? - Couldn't find an image of it!
18X8" Five Spoke machined-finished wheels standard on GS 350/450h; Optional on 200t (New):
18X8" Mesh wheels we've seen on the luxury version of the GS:
19X8 "Luxury Unique" Mesh wheels (Luxury pkg only) from the Toyota press release photos - thanks to fellow member Lenscap2 for posting from http://pressroom.lexus.com/album_dis...n_id=3&t=2562:

19X8" & 19X9" F-Sport, 10- Split Spoke redesigned wheel (New):
19X8 & 19X9" GS-F forged Aluminum wheel (New):

Those GS F rims are amazing. Like DTM style with a Japanese twist.

The F-sport wheels are a big improvement over the current GS F-sport style; but I wish they were closer to the look of the GS F. Instead they are closer to the standard GS 350 5 spoke.

I kind of like the simplistic, clean look of the F-sport wheels.

I posted this in the 2016 refresh thread but though it would apply here, too. The official 2016 GS 350 photos have been added to the Lexus Pressroom site:

Thanks for the info Lenscap...do you know if those are the redesigned 18" mesh wheels that are replacing the current 18" 10-spoke "superchrome" wheels as the standard wheel offering on the 350/450h models?

I agree with you guys - the first wheel also has a resemblance to the 2IS refreshed five spoke wheel:

I've actually always liked the five spoke wheel look on the 2GS, 3GS, now 4GS and the five spoke looked good on the original IS, 2IS, and 3IS.

I really like the way the new 350 wheels match [complements] the new grill, but sad that the 350 uses the rather cheap looking plasticky grill from the 200t, rather than the 450h's more "grande" looking grill with lots of chrome.
The 450h should have used the 350's wheels; the new 450h's wheels look terrible IMO.

Those new 350 wheels could be 18", but they could also be 19"???

.

The wheels seem to be the 19-inch wheels that come with the optional Luxury Package, since the car in the photos has the Luxury Package. Lexus describes them as "luxury unique design 19-inch mesh wheels with machined finished."

Thanks for the clarification. Definitely better wheel options with the refresh. I have a '13 premium GS with the 10-spoke wheel design. At first I felt the stockies were awful for a car of this category but the've grown on me enough (but not enough to potentially switch out!) - for the time, i liked my '01 GS stock wheels better than my '13 stock wheels!

Digging the "Luxury Unique" wheels and GS-F wheels. Not really feeling the new F-Sport wheels.

Those are some nice wheel choices for the refreshed GS.

Agreed. I love the rims on 16' GS and the 16' GS-F.

Not a fan of the new rims on the 16' GS450h at all.
