Well, I just got back from Fremont Lexus and came home without the car..
it was an cpo 2013 GS 350 f sport with BSM, ML for $39k. I offered them $36k otd with 0% interest and 0 down.. the sales guy was great but his manager on the other hand is not..
You're out of the ballpark. You will be luck to score 39k for a CPO under 30k miles. For 36k otd, you're going to get a 2013 with over 50k if you are lucky. I snagged my black on black f sport for 38k otd non cpo and I know I got deal.
Truth is that the F Sport package along with a CPO adds a lot to the price of the car. At this point, to get $36k out the door, you would need to find a '13 f sport GS that is priced in the low 30's - no lie, that will be tough.
Certainly prices will drop in the next couple months and if you can hold out, once the 2016's start showing up, the prices on the '13 model will fall a bit more in your favor.
I might have to go for the other one in pleasnton. they have an identical one with around 37k miles asking $37k.. I might be able to squeeze $36k out of them.. i haven't heard back from Fremont yet..
at one point, marin had one with 26k miles asking $36k for it..
I don't think your chances are very good on squeezing a deal for 36k otd when the car is 37k. That's asking over 10% of the asking price. There just isn't that much wiggle room there. A more realistic figure would be at least 38k otd.
for cpo make sure you get a 14 with the 8 speed automatic, the six speed is good but not desired long term as the 8 speed for economy as well as resell

My local Lexus dealer has a 2013 GS350 with Luxury Package for with 31k miles on it for $35K. That is before even trying to negotiate on it. I considered jumping on it but I am going to wait for the next depreciation hit when the new 2016's are released.
well. they called me back today.. I'm going in with the offer of $36k. after my experience with them, I'm going to stick it firm with my offer. I know is a tall order but I'm going to try..
my thing is though, when I buy something, I don't want to repeat myself twice to the sales agent.. this is what i want, this is what I'm going to pay. When you are the buyer/consumer, they should cater to you and not insult you. Well, that's what happened last week..
I'm leaning towards the nebula gray with cab interior or the white with black interior.. if they can do it, I'm going to sign the paper work next week and bring her home.
