but here in the US, doesn't matter what you get, no foglights. it's not a design issue, it's not a cooling issue, and it's absolutely not aesthetic issue. cost is the issue and they are not even making it an option. i find that quite silly.
Thats not true. Look above, you get the LED light strip on the base and luxury refreshed car...putting that strip in there is no cheaper than an LED fog lamp, and in fact engineering an LED strip for the US market and a fog for other market costs more than just utilizing the same fog here.
For the pre-refresh 4GS, why have fogs for the base car and the more expensive or similarly expensive luxury car and not the F Sport car if cost is the issue?
There is some reason why they are doing this with the foglight here in the US, and I don't think its cost.

Above you can see the Luxury Package US spec still has them equipped.
The issue becomes competitive pricing for the F Sport packaged GS & IS

could be, i still don't know if that's led stripe or just chrome strip. i have yet to see pics of closet up pics of it lid up. regardless fsport in the US not getting any fogs by itself is enough for the argument
the reason can be as simple as the cost for comparable version and if fogs is going to push the fsport price up by another 400 bucks, that could be the breaking point from lexus perspective. again i am not saying if it makes sense or not, i am telling you how it works. this is not the first and won't be the last on how lexus operates. everything is from japan, they make a call on how things should be based on their belief and lexus usa executes.
there could be another reason, i am all ears. i am just telling what lexus insiders told me which i would put a lot more weight on. just make sure i don't hear the brilliant reason of weight saving
Why is the nav all the way across now ??? Do people love their navs so much nowadays??? I personally love the split screen function on the 13 gs.....is it not a better setup ??

The split screen is a great setup, but it's nice to have the option of a full map.
