This is what happens whens dealers give cars away. Everyone wants a lease deal so cheap that it devalues the car. After it screws up the market, you can't get anything near what you want at trade-in. So you have to keep leasing over and over and keep it longer, all the way until the lease ends. When I started selling cars in 2013 I predicted this would happen to the GS.

In 2010 MBZ started leasing their E350s really cheap for 24-27 months thinking after the first two years they would make money. However, for the past five years lease returns flooded the market and the depreciate prices dropped dramatically. To stabilize the market, MBZ started to raise the lease prices on the E-350. In 2012 I leased a MBZ E350 Sport P1 package for $399 a month less CA tax. MSRP was $58K I got the cap $10K off. I kept the car in impeccable condition that the dealership kept it to sell it at a whopping price of $30K in 2014.
It looks like they finally added the Brake Hold feature for the GS350. It was on the GS450h before the refresh, but it's nice that they finally added it to the rest of the lineup.

That's a feature I never thought I'd use, but now that I have it I like it a lot.
