Default Lost Key Fob

Anyone know where I can get a replacement one at a reasonable price?

Do I have to pay an arm and a leg to get it programmed?

Thanks

I believe you can get them online (eBay/Amazon/MyLParts)

The programming and key cutting is pricey and up to the dealer's discretion if they want to hook you up

Don't u have to reprogram and re-key the whole car? I would hate to have someone who found ur lost key to be able to get in the car and steal all ur stuff. Reprogramming only stops the car from getting stolen with the old key but not the physical key to open the doors.

I don't think they can reprogram the car they just replace the control module. If you loose both sets of keys, you are in for a large bill. Be careful about after market keys, you HAVE to get a key for your specific year and model. A 2011 GS key won't pair with a 2014 GS.

The car can program up to 6 keys at the same time. If you max out then they have to reset the smart key control module and it will take an hour or so to do and charge you a hefty bill. Don't lose the remaining key if so you have to tow it to dealer and pay them to reset the key control module.

You can buy a new key from online and have your dealer or locksmith program it for a small fee or some dealer will do it for free.

Another way is buy a new fob and tell your dealer it won't work and claim it under warranty.... LOL

If you in Seattle area I can program it for free it only take 2 minutes max.

find someone in your regional area with a copy of techstream and buy a fob on eBay. Dealer can cut the key for a few bucks, but the techstream tool can program it.

Soo all you need to do is buy a fob off of eBay, making sure its a hyq14fba fcc id.

Call your nearest locksmith and tell him that you have a smart key, unprogrammed,

they need to reset the immobilizer with a tech stream or locksmith programmer such as the ADUSA Tcode or Hotwire.

Then add the unprogrammed key, then your key..
