Default Door Speaker Upgrade advice?

I'm an new 4th gen GS350 newbie and would appreciate advice for anyone who has upgraded their door speakers.

I have the standard Audio (not Mark Levison) and want a little more mid and highs out of the side door speakers. I've already maxed out the audio settings for treble and the dash speakers are doing their job to my taste. I just think the side speakers can do just a bit more.
I don't want to replace the head unit, ad additional amplification, equalizer, nor any custom fabrication, at least just not yet. Thought starting with the door speakers would be a 1st step.

I'm presuming the door speakers are 6 1/2" (at least the mounting holes) so a common 6 1/2" aftermarket speaker would work. Just swap out. Correct?

I'm thinking of something like the Infinity 6502ix co-axials with adjustable tweeters for all four doors. Plus, check out the nice looking grill

Any advice? Thanks

I'm not sure how much you are going to get installing new speakers without an aftermarket amplifier. Also you have components stock, and you will be downgrading to coaxials. Lastly, you will likely lose bass with un-amplified inifinti's (from my past experience)

If you want better highs, getting coaxials would be useless because your only going to get midbass from that channel. You'd need to replace the dash speakers as well. So, a component set would be ideal.

If you want a big improvement, you should replace all speakers and get a JL Audio Cleansweep and a 4 channel amp.

I am also looking at replacing the speakers but with all of them being in the dash it scares me. Whats involved to replace them? They have all the power pushing to the front and hardly any sound coming from the rear

Might be something similar to this https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ct-...connector.html

The sound is meant to come from in front of you. That's called a soundstage. But there are lots of people that want their music to be immersive where it sounds like it comes from everywhere.

Its just to much front sound would rather be surround through out the car.
