Correct, I had on steel toe work boots and accidentally hit both the gas and brake pedals and the car wouldn't budge and some warning light flashed. It was unnerving until I realized what was going on. Think this is due to an ES accident a few years back when the gas pedal got stuck pressed down on account of an all weather floor mat being installed on top of a carpet floor mat.Originally Posted by AL13NV8D3R
To OP... in your Lexus 4GS you cannot brake torque yourcar and launch it like other cars because our cars have what toyota calls SMART STOP technology. The purpose of this is if you ever have your accelerator pedal stuck at wide open throttle, applying the brakes will cut off engine power to safely stop a vehicle and prevent accident and death.
