Default Blown shock absorber at 13000 miles!

I took my 2013 f-sport to my independent mechanic for an oil change at 13,000 miles and two years, and he reported that one of the front shocks was "blown." I took it to the Lexus dealer for a warranty repair, and they confirmed that the shock was "leaking significantly." Has anyone had a similar problem on a relatively new GS?

Haven't heard this on a 4GS but I did hear of a similar case with someone's 3IS a few miles after purchase. They posted about it on CL a few months ago.

The service manager told me that they have had lots of problems with shocks on the new RX's but not on the GS.

Its not unheard of, although ive never seen one leak on a GS yet. RXs had leaking rear shocks, nothing with the fronts. But hey, thats why you have a warranty.

Unfortunately a Lexus is not perfect, just as reliable as possible. Glad you got it fixed never heard of the issue

Well the good thing is its covered under warranty, I'am a little surprised as I had lowering springs and they usually make your shocks go quicker and I just took them off at 25K so I find that amazing, but as LexFather stated Lexus isn't perfect and at least its covered under warranty.
