The good news is that Lexus did integrate Siri with the noise canceling mic in the headliner, so recognition is pretty good.

As I understand it, better audio would require software changes on both sides. I do not know if Siri can use A2DP, but there is a wide bandwidth version of HFP that would make both phone calls and Siri sound better.
Mono is not the problem. The problem is the car phone and nav assist and Siri all go through little tweeters that no base or mid range. The sound is not ok. It is terrrrrrrrrrrrible. My 1998 and my 2008 had very good sounding speakers for my phone calls. My 2014 produces barely understandable communication. Reminds me of a 50 cent radio from the 1950s. Grrrrr

Sound quality is subjective. It is also significantly dependent on the source. While Siri is clearly audible in my GS, callers using their cell phones in hands free mode can be unintelligible.

The audio for Siri is not full bandwidth because of the speakers that are driven from the mono HFP Bluetooth stream. I don't believe the sound is going through high frequency drivers (tweeters). It seems to be center speakers in the dash. This was a design choice the Lexus audio engineers made. They could have made a better choice IMHO.

I had an aftermarket Bluetooth system in my previous MB E350 that had a much richer, more pleasing sound on hands free calls, although callers immediately commented that I sounded clearer, with less background noise, calling from the Lexus. The aftermarket system I previously used was not designed to support Siri and essentially treated every Siri command as if it were a phone call. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it "hung up" on her. The GS system handles the protocol more efficiently because it is designed to work with Siri.
