Sorry to hear about that. It's the 1st instance of an engine failure I've read on the GS350. But it can happen to the best of them. Over the past 30 years I've had to have the engine replaced on a Cadillac, a new transmission replaced on a Mercedes, and a transmission replaced on a new Lincoln....all around the 25,000-30,000 mile mark. I was very disappointed in all of them but they were all new cars and all repaired under warranty.
It doesn't take much to trash a bearing. A tiny bit of debris left over from manufacturing could do it. Of course they are very careful to avoid such things, but it must still happen occasionally.
