Default I never knew this was a problem until...TSB

TSB EG019-07 Knock for one second at cold start-up. They have replacement cam gears and a software upgrade. Mine has always done this and never knew it was a prolbem.

If doesnt hurt your engine. I would wait till my car hits 65k miles and get that TSIB done. I seen it and they basically have to tare down the top of your engine.

I didn't even get the free 5k service done at the dealer yet alone let the dealer take apart my engine.

That start up noise has no negative affects on the engine. Just wait till 65k miles and then get it done.

I was going to wait. Just an FYI for everyone. Maybe they'll put new timing chains on if you wait until 65k. I would like to know what the noise is though.

I just had this TSIB done. They had my car for 3 days while they did the repairs. They ended up doing the brake dust TSIB at the same time.

you can probably wait awhile anyway because there is apparently a nationwide backorder on those parts.

I heard that to fix the problem... the dealer has to back up and RX350 into your car.

My car has been in the shop for 3 weeks for this TSIB now.

is this for all cars? how do you knwo fi you have this problem? i hear a wierd noise sometimes at startup...i hope this isn't the problem...

haha wait for 65k? I would think the warranty would be up then and it wouldn't be done?
