I noticed that sometimes when I power off I get multiple beeps where others I get none... any suggestions ?

 

If the beeps you are referring to are coming from the interior, when you turn the car off after opening your door, the car will beep reminding you that the lights are on. This doesn't happen when you shut the car off before opening the door, it will not beep.

Regardless of which one you do, the lights will turn off after you lock the doors, however.

 

if the lights are on auto they will turn off, if not and you manually put them on, you still need to switch them off

 

It will do this if you open the door and then turn off the ignition. It's a quirk that I still find annoying but have gotten used to.

The only reason I can think of why they'd program it this way is to train drivers to turn off the ignition, wait for the steering wheel to do it's thing, and then open the door and get out.
