Interior lights don’t turn on when door opens

I have the button set so it should turn on interior lights when door opens but it doesn’t turn on. The lights do turn on when I manually press the light buttons so I don’t think it’s due to burnt out lightbulbs. What could it be? Is250 2014

I would have to check, but isn't there an option to turn that off or on, in the infotainment settings?
