YR 2014 GS 350 Non F Sport at 400 miles.

I have been experiencing this since first day. gear shift lever wobbles front and back when braking on downhill. It wobbles more when I brake harder and drive faster. I know first 500 miles is the "break in period" for the brakes to settle, but I've never experience in any of the cars I drove previously.

Has anyone experienced this?

 

You say the gear shift lever wobbles? How is that related to the brakes? Can you describe this "wobble" a little better?

FYI...the gear shift lever is nothing but a switch. Its not mechanically connected to anything.

 

By gear shift lever, i meant this. When i apply brakes on a downhill, the lever shakes front/back. I also feel this on my brake pedal.

I was able to replicate the issue (35mph on downhill). it starts at 7 seconds into the video. it gets worse when braking at higher speed.

 

Thats bizarre! I've never seen anything like that...

You say you can feel it in the brake pedal? Its probably warped rotors. Could be a wheel torqued too tight at one lug. Take it back to the dealer.

Going over speed bumps at any speed causes this to happen too, but not enough to see it wobbling. I only notice it if my hand is resting on the gear stick when going over them. I agree with the others though, it's probably warped rotors.

 

Something loose? Maybe motor or transmission mounts? Bizarre indeed!

 

That looks more like a mount issue as something in the drivetrain isn't securely fastened. I've had warped rotors on many different vehicles before. I've never had that happen. You'd know if it was rotors because the whole car would pulse and you would feel it in the steering wheel, even more so if you turned the wheel a little each way to weave as you were braking.

That doesn't happen on mine...I drive with my right hand resting on the gearshift 90% of the time and have never felt it wobble...lots of speed bumps here too.
