folding mirrors almost means more to me than an 8 speed... almost

 

id also like to know what your reliable source is, considering the fact that everywhere that mentions the 2014 GS says nothing about the mirrors or cross traffic alerts

 

maybe the 2014 will have a heads up display? check out picture 24...

for the F-Sport?

 

Yep, my F-Sport has it.. I have about all options the Luxury can get other than side shades

 

Believe me when I say this ! the 8 speed sucks !!! I have it on my LS, the 6 speed on the GS is perfect ! u got that mighty sound ! high revs all the way to 5th gear ! plus the 8 speed feels like you're driving an ES with the numb feeling!!
the only good thing about the 8 speed is fuel economy and I really dont care about that.. if you guys do go and get a golf or a fiesta

 

I love watching all the guessing and back and forth. Our '13 F Sport RX has the 8 speed. Love it. Many on the IS forums love the 8 speed as well. Faster shifts, etc. it's all subjective. Until Lexus says something, it's just a guessing game. Besides, I'm glad I bought back in April so my lease is up after a few model updates and the new engines are out and kinks ironed out.

 

I don't care about an 8 speed,rear cross traffic alert,the alleged power trunk option,LED fogs and Siri but power fold in mirrors is the thing I miss.

 

Reminds me of that awful AT&T commercial:

I don't, but some believe an 8 speed transmission will be fantastic!!!

 

I wondered about that, at least from a performance point of view. I have never driven a car with anything more than 6 speed so I cant really comment but what you said makes sense. I only have 1000 miles on mine but the tranny seems perfect to me. I would sacrifice a bit of fuel economy if the 8 speed does sort of tune down the performance of the car. Does the 8 speed hunt a bit more? I wonder how it would perform in S+ setting as well.
