Maybe this visor clip would work?

Ended up ordering this and am pretty happy with it so far. Put the clip on the passenger visor with the clip opening faced toward the driver door. My glasses fit best using the "side pieces" in the clip with the glass facing down. Easy slide in and out into the clip. Frees up the cup holder I was using!

I stick mine into the ac vent, that way, when the car starts and ac comes on, it cools the sunglasses and I can put it on without burning myself.

Btw wat's the best sunglasses suited for driving? I guess polarized glasses is out as it'll blind out the HUD altogether! I'm looking at getting a new sunglasses as my current one is polarized. Can see a thing on the HUD! Was aiming at Tag Heuer Golf
