Default I Don't find huge space.......

There was some talk about a huge space in console after you lift out large console box that reveals pwr and USB hookups. I have 2011 rx350 and there is certainly no huge space past lift out box. There is an open space between both seats that also has 12v outlet but that is it.
So maybe somebody can straighten me out or is this supposed to be a joke?

Look at posts 34-38 in this thread:

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/rx-...age-box-3.html

You'll find pictures of the space and how to access it, and dialogue about the differences in model years. Hope this helps.

RBC, I believe your '11 will be the same as my '10. There is no secret door or opening on the bottom. But, when you lift out the big lined box, the USB, AUX ports, etc are exposed closest to the driver seat. To the right of those, there is a cubby space that the manuals will fit into, in the upright position, and tuck away out of sight.

MOHRD I believe you are correct there is no door on my car but there is some space to right of ports to stash manuals, etc.

Also a perfect spot to keep your shootin' iron. Room for pistol in holster, extra mags and a box of ammo.

I have a 2011 and a 2013.
The 2011 doesn't have the trapdoors.
But still a pretty usable space.

rbc123, thanks for taking out the deep sea camera for that shot. A few of us early 3RXers referred to the center console as the 'black hole.' The fact Lexus offered a free extension for the power outlet is testament to that. Yes, I got one. But it''s lost somewhere down there

I don't keep the manuals in that space. Too difficult to get to. I need the manuals for quick reference.
That secret space would be good for taxidermy gone wrong, contraband, bad poetry....
This has been a joke.
