wow, this seems to be an ongoing problem. are you sure it wasn't left in ACC mode? even though it is supposed to cut off after 15-20 minutes. i see another TSB/RECALL looming.

Did you leave an iPod connected in the car?

It's not that uncommon on higher end cars these days, many systems continue to draw power. Seen the same problem on BMW and Mercedes as well.

Well, the Lexus Road Side Assistance (a.k.a AAA) guy said drive it for about 30min, turned into 1hour. Haven't driven it for a week and was happy to drive it. Ok no I did not leave my iPod in the car connected and also I unplugged my radar detector. The guy was scratching his head to, he kept saying its still new I called Lexus and have an appointment tomorrow. When he charged it he said something is pulling power somewhere, its charging but something pulled the power. The car had no lights on inside and also all the electronics were unplugged. I'll keep you all in the loop as to what Lexus says.

I just had my 5k service done and had to jump start my battery 2x within the past month for my GS350 that is just my weekend driver. Turns out that I had a bad cell in the battery and Lexus dealer swapped it out with a Lexus 84-month battery. Charging system checked out aok. Perhaps Lexus got a bad batch of batteries for the OEM one that came with the car?

Hope not, guess I'll find out, could be that. Not even at 5K yet.

So they found nothing wrong with the battery, no issue's. I'm really scratching my head, they said next time bring it in dead so they can better diagnose it.

Bring it in dead?!?! What kind of a suggestion is that?

What do they want you to do, push it there?

"Well sir, next time this happens don't try and jump start it or start it in any way...just bring it in dead." Incredible.
