So what's the deal with the missing Lexus trunk badge on the F-Sports? I had to drop off mine at the dealer and noticed that my loaner DID have the trunk badge.

Can you take a picture? As I recall mine looks the same as the non F-Sports...

 

Sure, will do after work. Even when Google image searching, I am seeing about a 50/50 mix of badge VS non-badge.

Lexus stop putting 'Lexus' on the back of their cars sold in North America starting with the 2011 model. If your loaner was a 2010 or older it would still have the 'Lexus on the trunk.

My wife's 2011 GS350 didn't have it on there.

Hmm you're right. My f-sport doesn't have the written Lexus logo on the bottom left of the trunk.

 

The Lexus logo u are not gonna see that on a GS, but u might see them on a ES or IS which I have.

 

as stated by mrpartsman Lexus no longer installs the Lexus letters on the lefthand side of the trunk. IMO the Lexus logo in the middle should be enough, looks alot cleaner back there.

 

I'm guessing the pics on google of the GS with the logo present are from preproduction models.

 

or from ones not meant for North America.

 

I'm embarassed to admit I did not notice that the phrase "Lexus" was missing from the trunk until I saw this thread!

 

The loaner GS I have now is a 2013 with the "Lexus" badge on the lower left corner...

 

that is very rare, unless it says Lexus and the dealer name at the bottom of it , I know I have seen it in CA., where they put the Lexus of Glendale logo on the rear left, where u mentioned it.

 

Understood, but this is the same dealer I purchased mine at...and the badge looks OEM with no dealer advertisements.

 

I'm glad that they don't have it on our cars anymore. I'm thinking about taking the GS350 off too. That way I won't have to use Q tips to clean around these letters.
