It seems they woke up the chassis, improved the front, rear and sides...the pic in silver looks good.

I'll have to see it in person, but it looks pretty boring in pics. At least they sharpened the reflexes (not that most people who buy the E Class care).

The car like most MB's needs the AMG appearance package.

I think their 4 door sedans are all too boxy and ugly with the exception of the CLS. Otherwise, the coupes always have a better design.

Heck, I had actually put money down on a deposit for a Benz before the dealer jerked me around for a month and changed the deal even though paperwork was signed. Point taken after calling MB USA and basically being told they were sorry and not much they could do. Result, cancelled the orders on 2 cars, bought and ordered 2 Lexus cars.

Design and engineering are great, but it means nothing without good customer service. Lexus is surprising my wife and I as this is our first right now.

I saw the new E at the DC car show and wasn't impressed. I actually preferred the previous front, the new one isn't nearly as elegant.

Not many changes to the interior which is a big negative IMHO, I think the E has the weakest interior in the segment.

+1 I think that's there weakness, as they leave it bland.

Absolutely, I have said it many times, I've always wanted a Mercedes and I like the look and the prestige, road presence, etc. However, whenever I sit in one...I just don't like their interiors. Materials are all great, but they are so flat, and angular and lifeless...
