I remember reading a while back that there was supposed to be some sort of navi update released in Jan 2013 containing an update to our cars computer. The update was supposed to entail an enhancement to the reverse camera to move the guidance lines with the steering wheel.
The Activation Card Number for Generation 7 Navigation Updates still not released. Schedule was January 2013. Lexus has the equipment but not the activation card. The Gracenote Data Base Updates are also now available but is done when the Navigation is updated. I am told any day now.
So does ours...but the lines are supposed to turn with the steering wheel.
Beside the software, the only way this would work is if the car already has the steering angle sensor installed. That said, does anybody know if it is there? On my last car, it was installed to the steering column.

If I'm not mistaken, I think euro spec 4GSs have turning guidance lines. So I'd imagine we'd have it too, just not activated. But then again it might have been a cost cutter like the power mirrors and trunk.
Yes they do. I have them in my '13 LX 570, but didn't have them in my '13 GS or my current '13 LS F-sport.
I guess I'm not sure if the hardware is already installed in every GS to support this? It would be great if it really were just a software update to turn it on.
