How would you describe the colour of that bulb, i.e. is it pure white similar to the instrument dials or does it have a bluish tint typical of most white LED bulbs found on ebay.
It is slightly bluish, but overall very nice

It was on ebay, search for this

Really all of these would fit, there is room. What is important is to find a bulb that puts light out to the side as the bulb sits sideways in the housing Hence this two sided flat LED is ideal. That 3rd bulb is disappointing compared to bulb 1 tbh

having this problem on my driver side, now too. did you ever figure out what caused it? i took it apart and reassembled it, everything seems to be lined up properly. i noticed that if i tightened the screws stronger, the rattling is more noticeable. can't figure out what's causing it.

Pointed it out to the dealer during my oil change and they replaced the whole mechanism under warranty for free.

You probably did not have the mechanism snapped on properly (mirror on clips).

Pull harder lol. It takes an unnerving amount of force to get it off. I tilted the mirror in such a way that I could get my fingers in the top inner corner and pull the mirror away from the car.

It may be hard for you to believe, but you really are not pulling hard enough. Apply constant, ever-increasing, pulling force until it releases. Change your mindset to where you are intentionally trying to break something - and you'll safely remove the glass.

Do I just keep pulling as hard as I can or do I need to use my fingers to unattach something from behind? 😓 Please help. Thank you.

Remove the side mirrors by first turning them as far outward from the car as they will go, then point the glass mirror up as far as possible so that it's reflecting the sky. Grab the bottom of the mirror with your fingers and pull up and towards your body.

If you are not familiar with how the mirror is held in place it should help you to see that there are four tabs (see image below) that hold the mirror in place. As you apply pulling force the tabs will most likely release individually at the location where you are able to apply the most force, which will likely be the bottom tab closest to the car door first, and then the other bottom tab furthermost from the car door, then the upper two tabs will likely be the last to release.
