All I need to know is the part number for the motorized latch and if the standard wiring harness is already setup to except the plug for the latch or if I'd have to hard wire it myself.

Nice! I didn't even think to look there.

So, if that's the only part we need...here's the cost:

64610 6465030070
LOCK ASSY, LUGGAGE COMPARTMEN T DOOR LUGGAGE DOOR-POWER TRUNK LID SYSTEM $763.28 ($634.80 Sewell Price)

So now you all need to open up the covering of a non
equipped car. Are there any knockouts or predrilled
holes for the installation? At least get a plan for any unkowns
before sinking the money into it. Wiring sources, etc...
Maybe there is a tech here who can lend advice.

I think that a motorized latch from the 3GS can also work, it might even be cheaper if you find it used.

This will not be a project I will start until this spring/summer. Fingers crossed for it being "simple".

I dunno where the wiring goes to. There is a soft button on the right hand side beside the license plate light to pop the boot. There is another switch in the car above the lever to pop the front bonnet. This switch is used to pop the rear boot from inside the car.... So i believe the wiring fom the motor goes to both this two switches...
