Default Leather dash

Can anyone confirm, are these
dashes true leather like the seat material?
Looks great!

I will call the dealer back today
to confirm.

Addendum:
Sewell says the top is Nuluxe and
the front facing the passenger is leather.

Does not feel like genuine leather to me. Feels more like some kind of synthetic blend but I could be wrong. It sure does look nice though.

I can't find much information on Nuluxe except that it is a synthetic leather used in the Lexus CT200h. I'm sure it's a better choice than genuine leather for the top of the dash but I hope it is durable and heat-resistant because it gets really hot in this hot summer weather.

I agree and hope it's not natural leather as well. I had a leather dash in several older Porsche 928s and I can tell you that heat and sun will shrink natural leather and cause all sorts of problems.

It's not leather. You can grab/gather it with your fingers and it's paper thin.

In my experience, the synthetic stuff Lexus uses is pretty good. Not sure if it was Nuluxe (it was more of a suede texture), but what I had in my IS300 (seat inserts) held up very well. I have no doubt that this stuff will too.

Yep. The only pieces I have found that are actual leather are the seating surfaces, steering wheel and gear shifter. Are cows going extinct? I sure do eat a lot of red meat...

Sewell Lexus had a "Technology Specialist"
call me back this afternoon.
He states the dash is in fact totally
real leather...get those sun shades out!

If you feel the texture of the material on top of the dash, and then feel the texture of the material that borders it, you can tell it is different material. I'm betting that the material on top is Nuluxe (i.e. fake leather) and the border material is genuine leather....like they told you the first time.

Sewell says the top is Nuluxe and
the front facing the passenger is leather.
