Maybe it's just up north, but here we have little crossovers that allow emergency vehicles to go between the south and north bound lanes. I've done nothing that I know of to activate them showing up, but they do and I LIKE it!

Well, for one thing I don't think Lexus thought the "My protection" thing through. I mean, they "allow" me to do anything else in the NAV system and on the radio and I can push buttons and play with the joy stick all day long, but they do not allow me to punch in letters for an address???This feature is the one thing that you NEED to do when you are driving down a wrong road that the NAV has taken you down and you have to get back to the right direction! I have done that a few times and find it very annoying.

Also I think that having to pull over on the side of the highway to add it in and then try to get back on the highway is far more dangerous and endangering than pushing buttons while driving!!

I truly think Big Brother has gone way over board with this control over what drivers can and cannot do.

Anyway, thumbs sideways for the NAV so far. It is not tuned better than my plug in Garmin, I will tell you that.

I'm glad they lock us out, cause i almost crashed cause of the lexus enform thing.

I cam from a 2008 QX56 which had those predictive lines, no biggie to me. But this nav in my GS is far superior to that Infiniti nav. I love how you can just input a stores name like "nordsrom" and it pulls all of them up and then you can choose which one to navigate to.

Everyone is giving this car a hard time for not being able to input a destination while driving but for me I rarely decide to start going somewhere once I am already driving.

If your 3GS was a 2010 or newer you had the Gen 6 which has the same navigation software as the 2013 GS. I was a little disappointed they didn't do more, like others mentioned, 3d, birds-eye, speed limits. I mean, come on, $100 Garmins have have these things.
But it does have the clearest, largest, sharpest nav display I have ever seen.

+1. I love being able to input the name of a store, restaurant, etc. and have all the locations come up. My '11 Audi S5 didn't even come close.

I've had issues with that. State names of gas stations I know are around and it says no data matches my query...

I just picked up my 2013 GS and find the beep tone in the navigation very annoying and I cant figure out how to turn it off. Its almost like the beep as if you are in an airplane.Does anyone know hoe to turn this off?
