Okay, have it your way. It is the real deal, and it's really disappointing. And I'd be willing on betting that the automotive press will not be kind to it from an appearance standpoint. It had damn well better be one hell of a car and not go up more than a few % in price. It has little room for error given it's disappointing looks.

I have been looking at this thread and these leaked pics every hour since they were posted....and I am trying very hard to convince myself that this is not the 4GS. The more I look at it, the more I think its either the new ES or it really is a photo-chop of another non-US Lexus model. I don't know how to explain it, but it just doesn't look right to be a GS! Nothing about this car screams GS! Nothing about this car exemplifies an evolution of the GS model history. Honestly, I take back when and if I said it's an "ugly car", because it's not an "ugly car." However, i will say it's an ugly 4th Gen. GS! This car as the new Toyota Camry...YES! This car as the new Lexus ES...YES! This car as the new Honda Accord...YES! This car as the new Lexus GS....@#$% NO!

^^ Be patient for tomorrow unveiling, if you still don't like it nobody is forcing you to buy the 4GS. Sounds fair?
Let's get off all this Honda Accord and Hyundai Sonata stuff, it was played out when the LF-Gh unveiled and it is still played out til this day.
If we're going to critique design, at least do it from a design perspective.
Most of the haters of the LF-Gh ended up not hating it as much and accepting it for what it is, same thing will happen after tomorrow.

I'm sorry, but no one will convince me this car is ugly. I can accept "a little bland" or "vanilla" or "less striking then the concept", but "UGLY"??? I must really be out of touch with what beautiful is, especially compared to the BMW 5 or Audi S6, hell, you can add the E-Class to that, too. And I couldn't stand the GS quad lights. Looked tacky. I did really like them on the 3GS, however, but I'm glad to see them go. I guess I'm the odd one out on this one.

Unfortunately not, I don't think. In all of the previews and first drives last month, it was widely reported that the hybrid will debut in Frankfurt next month and the F Sport will debut at SEMA. Tomorrow is only the base GS.

. Here is Robert Cumberford's thought's on the LF-gh in the September issue of Automobile; I respect the man and what he has accomplished but I totally disagree with him. I'm an artist myself, so I might see things in a different perspective than him. I do have to say to Mr. Cumberford though: This is exactly what Lexus wanted, to stray away from the older demographic, so sorry sir, I'm going to have to say this was successful at attracting less, pardon the expression, "Geezers". Mission accomplished!
