I have had my Hamilton conversion kit for a little over a week now and I can confirm some of the same issues. The boot up time takes awhile. Where I live I don’t have the best reception and sometimes I need to drive a couple blocks to get it to connect. The screen glare is pretty bad sometimes I can’t see it, I’m trying to find away to increase the brightness. CarPlay’s great I love have maps and the way the music player looks is awesome. Makes the car feel much more modern. When I start the car and back up right away not waiting for it to boot up it cuts off the camera about half out of my driveway so I think I’m going to wait a lil longer before backing up and see if that fixes the issue. I have been unable to get the screen mirroring to work. I would love to get YouTube on here, CarPlay’s apps are pretty limited. The sound is clear and I upgraded my speakers to focal audio which sound amazing!
I had a shop install my screen and they had an issue. Then they got a second screen and they still had an issue. Apparently my GS is Japanese spec and most of the cars here are US specs so when having to go back to the original menu it wasn’t working. Not the end of the world but I did want to be able to have that option if for whatever reason I needed it. Dave from Hamilton reached out to me and the shop and was very involved getting this resolved. He had engineers working on it and giving me updates along the way. Customer service is top notch. The shop was able to get it all situated in the end. Overall I’m very pleased with the unit just wish the boot up was a lil faster and YouTube worked right. I just think I’m doing it wrong, and need to play with it more.

I was thinking about getting in the car, getting ready to back up in reverse and No back up camera for some screen display time to load.

Can anyone who installed the RoadTop $200 +/- unit comment on the boot and delays to display with the stock systems?
did you swap to a 16 + unit / screen or is that original. I did the swap but had to use my face plate .. been getting the SD card read error .. but other than that .. it’s been amazing

No like a few others things I need to do I have just not had time to do yet. I do not want a shop to do it due to sometimes panels not put back in right, broken Tabs, scratch's and other.

So the member I got the 16 screen and radio from had a problem when he installed in his 15 GS350. He had to get the latest update sd card. But I don't know if it was exactly your same issue or not?
