Light wheels make a difference!
I always buy a lightweight set up. It affects daily performance and gas mileage as well as makes your ride look better (beauty is in the eye of the beholder). Usually after about 5 years when the car is ready to be sold, yank them off and make a few bucks, as the savings in gas mileage usually pays for them during that time period.
Too many variables for me (different tire, different size) changing for me to agree that there is a MPG improvement, but the rest I would mostly agree with. I love the way my GS handles with my Forgestars. Lighter would be even sweeter but there's probably a diminished returns property in this equation and that makes sense. I will say the faster I go (the harder I drive), the more agile it is compared to what it was with heavy Lux 18's. Still a very smooth ride in 19's even over the potholes, though that's because the DWS06 Plus is a good tire overall.
Ahh dude, I have so many q's on the DWS! I want to get them as my next tire. I am running the Michelin Sport A/S 4s and they are not as comfortable as my old Toyo's. I've heard so many good things about the DWS. Do you know how they compare to Yokohama's?[/QUOTE]
Not sure how they compare to the Toyo's, but they are the best tire I have found compared to other tires I have run like Firestone, Michelin and Bridgestone in regards to ride quality and performance in the rain and light snow

You didn't need to tell me, I already knew. But I'm curious as to why you put that much effort in but didn't use a dragy or racebox? If your gonna do testing why not do it right and do a before and after?
You claimed a 5.2 but looks like it would be closer to 6 if you did real testing.

This would be my 3rd set of DWS, the first 2 being on an Acura ILX over several years, moving from the DWS06 to DWS06 Plus.
The tire is great in the dry, wet, and ok in the snow. Road feel is excellent, harsh bumps isolated, a very good GT tire. Wear is as advertised if you rotate them and ensure alignment is good, as well as suspension. They growl and howl as wear accumulates whenever they wear unevenly, and they are growling tires at very low speed turning regardless of wear, probably because caster in a tight turn. I would also consider Pirelli P-Zero AS Plus 3 as a top contender, but I was able to score the Continental for a huge discount at the time, so it was a bargain with no regrets.
