Default Screen swapping with small nav screen?

Hey all,

I got a killer deal on a 2016 MY GS200t, and so far am absolutely loving it. Since I drive like a grandma the power is plenty, but I’ve been getting curious about improving my infotainment screen.

I have one of those less-talked about 8” screens, although as opposed to past threads on this topic my 8” screen actually has Nav. Does this mean I could potentially swap in a 12.3” without having to change the head unit?

sorry, meant to clarify I’m talking about swapping in a 12.3” OEM screen.

@boxlegs - The screen is linked to the NAV/Head Unit - the 12.3" larger screen needs the proper Head Unit for the correct screen resolution, otherwise the display will just be the 8" display in the middle of the larger screen and probably distorted and pink.

I think the wiring harness and connectors might be plug 'n play, but even if not I guess you could swap out wiring harnesses too. I think you're looking at acquiring the larger 12.3" screen and a NAV Head Unit that handles the larger display screen, and possibly a wiring harness.

HERE is a fellow that did what you're asking about.

Hope it helps! Good luck with it!
