Hello GS family.

I parked my 2018 Gs350 at my father in laws place over the winter (indoor garage), I had a CTEK trickle charger on it. I just went to drive it this weekend (aprox 6month in storage) and for the longest time the entertainment display was blank- it would load up the Lexus symbol but then dark screen- back up camera worked fine but no radio, gps or any of the Lexus entertainment functions (msg, cell phone, gps…). Dash worked fine and everything else (like HUD) looks to work normal. After driving for aprox 50 mins, all of a sudden the screen ‘woke up’ and it went into a reset mode with the following message “system loading do not turn off power”.

Tried doing a google and looking into this forum and it seems others have had same issue when stored for long periods or when new battery has been replaced. Since it went through the system reload Ive started and restarted vehicle with no issue. All is working fine.

Was vehicle in deep sleep mode? Is the battery low even with trickle charger? Is some other bigger issue the problem?

How do I prevent the car from going deep sleep mode in future when store it for winter? Am I better off unhooking battery?
