Default Infotainment System Restarts

Has anyone had issues with their infotainment systems restarting? First time I've had the car with slightly colder weather, so I used my heater and my heated seat today. It seemed to force the infotainment system to restart several times on my 10 minute drive. It restarted when I changed the song, when I pressed the off button for the climate control, and once more when I pressed the Home button for the infotainment system itself. I'm thinking it could just be the 12v battery. Its most likely original with the car as its a 2014.

Well, I think if it was the 12V battery it might have caused more problems than just the infotainment system. Are you using a USB to listen to music?
If so, try to remove the USB and just listen to the radio to see if it solves your problem.

Mine has suddenly restarted a couple times over the last few years, but it was wasn't that frequent. Did it recently do an update to the system? You're probably due for a 12V battery anyway.

I think I over reacted about it that morning. I do agree that the 12v battery would probably cause more issues than just the infotainment, as others have reports that the car just completely won't start when the battery is that bad. When I went to go home for lunch, the radio did a full reset by itself, where it says that the software is reloading from the SD card and not to turn off the system. After that ran it has been fine. The last time the infotainment system did this, it didn't really do the restarts the same way, it just completely froze and wouldn't do anything until the car was restarted. I'll keep an eye on it but I should probably replace the battery soon anyway.

Mine has restarted or frozed up a few times. I would say two-three times over the past year. My factory battery just went out the other day too.
