Yeah I had no idea that oil burning is associated with long intervals. It's funny my Cayenne diesel had 5k intervals and same engine from Audi or VW has 10k intervals.

Beside Cayenne, I always did 7k. Will be doing closer to 5k now.

Nice. I wish i knew mechanic like that. When i had S2k, I serviced both of my cars with Honda tech at his house, amazing prices and never had any issues. Sadly he quit that job a while ago and I wasn't able to find anyone to replace him.

Oil changes on most German cars are easy, I do it myself with extractor and filter is right on top, sometimes I do brakes too. For everything else I go to dealer or some other place.
