Hi guys, I have recently swapped gs460's 1ur-fse engine into a lexus is250 and soon was disappointed because I cannot turn off the Ai-shift mode when I'm in S mode. It automatically turns off on gs300 gs350 and gs430 but not on gs460. I want the gear I'm currently in to remain the same until I myself click it up. Even if the engine reached redline.
the problem mostly takes place if VSC is off. If VSC is on gears remain the same till I either shift it up or let go of the gas pedal.

Is there any way to turn the damn ai shift mode off?

 

I don't have any real insights here but I think we're gonna need to see some pics of this swap. lol

never heard anyone successfully disabling it. They way you describe it makes it seem like a problem but that's how Lexus wanted it to function.

 

You're gonna have to tune it for this. The GS460 DOES NOT allow you to hold gear in any mode. It will automatically upshift for you once youve hit redline unless you've lost traction. It can be changed with a custom tune though. Your using the AA80e and GS460 TCM right?

Thank you for the answer...I use AA80E and ISF trans contol unit...

The swap was kind of easy, almost bolt on, the only problem was to fit in radiator

I have heard about someone from USA who swapped 2ur-gse into is250...This engine is very similar but has a lot better tuning options

 

From my experience the 1URFSE is limited in tuning options compared to the 2UR.

At least in north america.
