Gone through 3 sensors on bank 2 sensor 1 (driver's side front "up stream") --- KEEP getting check vsc errors from this sensor. Can someone confirm the correct part for this sensor?
06 GS300 AWD (3GR-FSE)
These have all been cheap Ebay/RockAuto o2 sensors - thinking this is a mismatch part and it needs an AF sensor, but can't figure the part# out. Car needs a test for plates soon, but don't want to get raped.
which brand o2 sensors? Because rock auto sells denso o2 sensors and those are like oem.
From what I understand you can swap o2 sensors from left to right. I would try swapping and see if it throw a code for the other side. Or maybe just swap the wires around. Also are you using a good quality scan tool to that can diagnose o2 sensors warm up
Another thing to look for is, exhaust leaks at the mid pipe, that can trigger a o2 sensor or a bad catalytic codes. I would remove the tin covering on the mid pipes and clean and inspect the pipes. Its a design flaw for the awd, that the tin and matte covering inside it traps water and destroys the mid pipes.
The latest one was Walker brand from RockAuto - the sensor is up on the header on the driver's side (PITA to get to the connector), and I've replaced all the others. I'm just using a cheap code scan tool. Getting P2198 and P 2241, and once I got some random "system too rich" (P0175) code. Think I'm just going to go to Advanced Auto and ask them what part I need.

I would take it to a mechanic with a good scan tool and pay for an hours worth of diagnostics that way you dont dump more money in parts hoping to find a cure.
30020 looks to be your part, but 30010 shows on epc-data as the part for both sides. I'd trust lexuspartsnow or just mail/call them to confirm. Won't be the first time that Toyota has put identical parts under the same number, I guess.
Anyways, it is an AFR (wideband o2) sensor upstream. I suggest that you get OEM.
I pulled my hair out on this exact issue (except sensor 2 bank 2) and described it in a thread here. I solved it by having it changed by the dealer. It will be a bit costlier but at least your issue will be solved. Maybe you could try to change it yourself with an OEM part, what I originally did. I ordered a sensor on lexuspartsdirect.com, it came in a Toyota box, but the check engine light wouldn't turn off. I freaked out thinking the ECU was bad. Either it was a bad part or because it didn't come from the dealer, it was less well made, but here's what worked for me.
With that said, each situation can be very specific and it could also be a bad ground, a bad wire, a bad computer, an exhaust leak... Hence the usefulness of a good diagnosis before firing the parts canon.
I've still been dealing with this (randomly stays working after reset) and I wonder if I've been putting O2 sensors where an A/F sensor is supposed to be. Anyone know? RockAuto doesn't specify - they just say "Oxygen sensor". The Lexus part is $220, so I don't want to be questioning this. It's right below the brake booster Bank 2 Sensor 1 on driver side.
