Default General tyre wear GS460

Been a while but I'm back 😁 The new 2.25" pipes are great and get another 1km/L with them now too. Sounds nice, and mean as when you get the foot up it! 😋 Anyway, as far as I'm aware my alignment is correct however, but do any of you suffer uneven/excessive wear on the insides of all tyres? Fronts are worse than rears but definately well in excess of what is should be... Very noticable. Almost not legal on the insides, and great tread on the outer. How good are the factory numbers for these on alignment?

Yeah real good, only done 100k and mint condition. Good thought though.

I think it might just be part of owning these cars; I replaced my tires about 2 months ago, and they were all worn more on the inside edge of the tire. I think the GS has a bit of negative camber, to help with cornering(as do many of the more 'sporty' cars). the downside of this is uneven tire wear.

You shouldnt have uneven tire tread front or back. I ran into an issue where I had the rear tires would have inner tread damage and uneven cupping. When you have inner damage it usually means that the toe is off in the front or rear. You said it was aligned, did they use a good alignment machine, do you have the report handy?

I ended up replacing so many suspension parts in hopes of tracking it down. It ended up being a bad front lower rear control arm bushing. Its pretty cheap and easy to replace, but you have to get an alignment right after. The odd thing for me, was that the bushing would appear normal on the outside, but it was obviously worn out because right after replacing it I no longer had the car tracking over bumps. I would try replacing these bushings and get an alignment from a good shop.

Had a 2010 Gs460 for years. Some inner wear on all 4 is normal.

Yeah I think mspearl95 and 703 are right to a certain point, similar to the Audi cars from what I am led to believe however, the wear is far too much to be that IMO. I think you're bang on with the toe issue on the front at least ibidu1, and new front lower rear bushes never hurt, might just flick them out for the ease of job and cost that they are. Thanks for the advice man, at least I haven't needed to do the long yards on that one. I still have enough life left in them... Only just... To flip them on their rims and wear the other side out Actually a good opportunity to change the batteries for the TPMS which I have been meaning to do for ages anyway, and get rid of that blasted dash light LOL. Probably do that in the next week or two, but I have to do it quickly or that's another $1,000+ I'll have to stick in to it.

Like I mentioned I used to have toe wear that was pretty bad, after replacing a bunch of bushings/arms I solved it and I no longer have toe wear not at all. My wear pattern is nice, flat, and even its been like this the past 3 years. The dealer is the one who told me about the front lower rear control arm bushings, he mentioned its a common problem.
